Internet, Darrelle Revis jump at chance to troll Richard Sherman over rough Super Bowl 54

Darrelle Revis said a lot without saying very much Sunday night. Revis had an opening to talk more trash to 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman, who struggled at times to keep up with the Chiefs' speedy receivers during San Francisco's Super Bowl 54 loss. Revis teased the internet with this postgame tweet: Are y’all waiting for the flame 🔥? 😂😂😂 — Darrelle Revis (@Revis24) February 3, 2020 Revis needled Sherman after the NFC championship game, saying he was too scared to play man-to-man. Sherman responded by citing stats and trying to knock the latter stages of Revis' career. MORE SUPER BOWL 54: Then came Sunday in Miami Gardens, and Sherman was on the wrong end of a series of plays, beginning with this ankle-breaker by Tyreek Hill. THAT RELEASE, THOUGH 😤 @sammywatkins pic.twitter.com/7q2MALB251 — The Checkdown (@thecheckdown) February 3, 2020 Sherman was also in the frame for that score, a short reception by running back Damien Williams: 2010 Mira Mesa grad Damien Williams puts the Chiefs ahead in the Super Bowl pic.twitter.com/FahVBbKWTc — Bodie DeSilva (@SDPreps) February 3, 2020 Those plays had some people serving up some late-night breakfast food: Burnt toast, my favorite! #SuperBowl #RichardSherman pic.twitter.com/MeuYnfFKGS — Willie Beamen (@glauder44) February 3, 2020 Afterward, Sherman took ownership of his play with a few words of his own on Twitter. Proud of this team! Wasn’t the result we wanted but we battled through. I wasn’t good enough tonight and I will fix that. Thank you for all the support all year. — Richard Sherman (@RSherman_25) February 3, 2020 Let's see whether Revis decides to raise the flame in response.

The Houston Texans have moved to sign Randall Cobb after their shock decision to trade DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals. Wide receiver Cobb has agreed a three-year, $27 million deal with Houston that contains $18.75m in guarantees, according to NFL Network. The move came after star wideout Hopkins was stunningly sent to the Cardinals in a package that saw running back David Johnson move in the other direction. Jose Bautista is attempting a comeback as a two-way player: Does former MLB outfielder have a chance?

José Bautista could be coming to a bullpen near you. People are familiar with the former outfielder of Blue Jays fame for his propensity of launching dingers a long way, his bat flip and the one time he got decked by Rougned Odor. But Bautista, now 39, is attempting a comeback — with a twist. Per ESPN's Jeff Passan, Bautista has been working out in the Dominican Republic as both a hitter and a pitcher. That's right, Bautista is attempting to make a comeback as a two-way player. I've seen video of Jose Bautista throwing a bullpen session. Couldn't tell the velocity, but one source said he can run his fastball up to 94. His slider had legitimate tilt -- threw a short one and a bigger bender. @STR0 said in January he could pitch in a big league bullpen. — Jeff Passan (@JeffPassan) March 2, 2020 Per Passan, Bautista can run his fastball up to 94 mph., which is nothing to thumb your nose at, especially since he is an aging player. Bautista also boasts a slider that a...
