
The Vancouver Canucks will be without their best winger for the forseeable future. General manager Jim Benning announced Monday that forward Brock Boeser sustained a rib cartilage fracture and will be re-evaluated in three weeks. INJURIES: Logan Couture | Sidney Crosby | Victor Olofsson | Ilya Mikheyev To help ease the absence of Boeser, the Canucks acquired Tyler Toffoli from the Los Angeles Kings. Still, he Canucks will miss his presence in the lineup as he's tied for fourth in points (45). As of Feb. 17, Vancouver is just one point back of the division lead. General manager Benning said Boeser will be re-evaluated in three weeks. This comes after head coach Travis Green said on Feb. 9 he would miss two games and then be re-evaluated. Boeser currently has 45 points (16 goals, 29 assists). Boeser left the game Feb. 8 against the Calgary Flames with two minutes and 30 seconds remaining in the third period.
